The team of the following is an extremely good well balanced team that absolutely would expect to be top 25 and compete for a BT championship. Bottom of the BT is an absurd take. Boswell Maddox/DGL Ty/Davis White Booth/Johnson Plus the potential of adding/keeping: Domask Hawkins Amani Harris...

To over simplify it, Boswell is closer to a traditional point guard and Maddox is closer to a traditional shooting guard. I know this might not be exact but generally?

Can someone compare and contrast Boswell and Maddox games? In particular how they would be utilized together. Thank you.

Illinois was never getting Boswell, Maddux, Storr and Booth even though many said we were. I posted numerous times it’s literally impossible. It’s not that things changed greatly. It’s that the expectations in this chat were unrealistic.

Under these scenarios DGL, Goode, Harris and Davis would be the 9-12 in the rotation. We would certainly lose 2 of those 4.

I agree. I think we add 2 starters from here. Any other additions will be non rotational depth/projects.

If Moretti stays he is likely 11th, 12th or 13th on the depth chart. I have no idea what his expectations or desires are. He might be good with that or he might not. But he’s not in the rotation next year if we bring in two players like Boswell and Maddox plus DGL and Harris.
