When Hawkins finally made a 3 late in the FAU game, there was no one anywhere near to him. A defender is going to sag off a 22% 3-shooter. Heck, they were probably encouraging him to shoot, to get a TO.
And if you don't count those two outlier games, Hawkins shot 22% from three over their other 31 games.
He is blunting their offense shooting 3s and I don't understand why he's not told to play inside the arc, where he's a bigger force to be reckoned with.
