Very good class but still not on the same level. 2-top 10 recruits, compared to 5(!) in that UK 2013 class. And in the post NIL world, the transfer portal is a much bigger part of the overall talent pool for recruiting than it was in 2013, and while they had some good transfers, they didn't have...

Nobody thinks it's literally equal. Just more equal. While NIL hasn't made the talent distribution flat, it has made it flatt-er. UK's 2013 class signed 6 of the top 14 recruits, according to 247. Nobody is doing anything like that the NIL era.

I don't actually think this is true. The Lakers have not "figured it out." LeBron and Doncic haven't really gelled in a way that makes them the world beaters you'd expect on paper and the team's efficiency scores are actually better when Luka is on the court without LeBron. I think the Lakers...

How do you integrate two guys who both need the ball in their hand as much as possible? There's only one ball. What role do you envision for TSJ as a supporting player to Ant? I do think he gets more opportunities in Minn going forward but I'm skeptical he'll have the kind of role he'd excel in.

They keep him because he's cheap insurance for this very scenario where multiple guards are injured. Now, if they could trade him for a legit rotation piece then sure, they probably do that. But if they can't find the right trade they're not going to just unload him for whatever just because he...

I think the point is that getting to that next level requires a financial commitment that at this point we can't swing without going all in on football to the detriment of basketball. I imagine many of us (myself included) would be against doing that.

McAA only includes American prep recruits. No international prospects except for those that come here for high school. Nike Hoops Summit has both international and prep prospects. The best American preps often play in both, but international preps can't play in the McAA game. International...

In the current era Nike Hoops Summit > McDonald's All American. And we've had a ton of guys in the Hoops Summit.

    NBA Draft

Wow, kinda wild how far Mara has risen as well. #9 in this. By the way, for all the hand-wringing about professional Euros in their late 20s (yet to see any proof of this) I've seen on this board and elsewhere, it's somewhat notable the two oldest players on this mock draft are 24-year-olds...

Exactly. What Finch is saying can also be translated as "During the season we needed someone to play off ball, out on the corner, and create space for Ant. That's not the optimal role for TSJ. TSJ needs the ball in his hands, which he got tonight because of injuries." Realistically, this...

There were many fans and at least one insider on this board who hated BU and didn't think he could coach as of about a month-and-a-half ago. Fan sentiment and rationality don't always go hand-in-hand.

If you're Duke, all you have to do to talk yourself into staying the course is glance over at UNC or UK and see how possible it is to swing and miss in a coaching search even with the blueblood pedigree and the resources.

Yes, rebounding and defense needs to be the offseason focus for him. Given his positional size and athleticism, I do think he can improve in those areas. He was a good defender in college, but obviously NBA scoring is other-worldly (to the point where it fools people into thinking there is no...
