Malcolm Hill during September of 2015 was rated the 35th best prospect in the 2016 NBA draft according to a staff writer on CBS. Not a reliable source or...
Yep, no one expected Green to become a triple double machine in the NBA, and to be able to play the 4 and 5 positions as well as he has. I have been most impressed by his playmaking though. Most analysts thought he was undersized as a 4, but he has somewhat helped in staring a new era in the...
Well he's listed at 6'7, has long arms, and is very strong/buff. Not to surprising he was able to play the 4 well in college. But you don't see too many 6'6, skinny, perimeter orientated wings playing the 4 on elite teams. They better be jacked or have a 7 foot wingspan
Very possible he could grow, looks like his body is definitely still developing. If he get's to 6'8 he could play the 4, but with his skillset and abilities he seems to be a more natural 3.
Look at Leron Black for example. He is only 6'7 (does have long arms though) and is clearly a 4 due to...
Draymond Green is a good rebounder for his size (plays bigger than he is) and is also one of the best defenders in the league, can guard both bigs and wings. Along with spectacular playmaking and basketball IQ, he just fits in perfectly playing along side Curry,Thompson, iggy, etc. But not...
That team is an exception, just like the Golden State warriors are in the NBA (who at times play Draymond Green at center). I checked each of the final four teams and Villanova does have a 6'6 starting 4 I believe, so it can be successful, but it's just not ideal
Yeah because 6'6 4's have had so much success in Groce's system...Bertrand at times and of course Hill have been forced to play the 4 and both hurt our rebounding and interior defense. Terrence Lewis should play the 3. What successful teams in college basketball are playing 6'6 guys at the 4?
This was the first big ten game under Groce that Illinois has shot over 50 percent! Other than Purdue's two 7 footers, I don't see much talent difference between Illinois and Purdue (even with our injuries). It may be biased to say that after a home win where we played our best game all year...
I was never a huge fan of Thomas, but with our lack of quality big man on the roster, and the uncertainty if Throne will play at Illinois again, he would be a huge pickup.
