Wagler's measurements are a bit unfortunate. I hope it doesn't hurt him- but his lack of explosion and being 6'5 instead of 6'6, and only a 6'6.25 wingspan- isn't ideal
Ayo is just about all the right things- great man, unbelievable work ethic, great teammate. As a Bulls fan, I'm so happy for him that he got traded to a competent franchise and that he's getting this moment.
Sounds like his agent is an idiot- does he want to win a national championship or not- that is the question- winning solves all other things. You want to get drafted, win a natty. I can't believe his dad doesn't have enough sway to convince him to come to Illinois.
It's probably just because we saw how unbelievably talented Michigan was this year- arguably the most talented team I can recall in college ball for a while. It's for me not to think about us needing to be better than them.. Even if that's not realistically how good we need to be.
I think the confusion is the unbelievable positivity that we would get Blackwell, even with the addition of Andrej.. Then Andrej confirms he's coming back and all of a sudden Blackwell is not coming here... At the very least, do explain what changed...
I'm so hyped... An unbelievable season followed by an already outstanding offseason..
I'm probably drinking the koolaid (even without Blackwell)
But this lineup is already insanely good:
Vaaks
Coleman
Andrej
Mirk
Tomi
Bench:
Big Z
Jake
Morillo
Spot minutes: Lee or tbd...
IMO- there's no...
It's simple- you ask Blackwell if he's serious about competing for Natty's.. If he is, less volume and more talent around you is the answer to winning. Case in point- Andrej this recent season.
Legit question... Do we not have the $ to just shut it down and say, dude, here's what everyone else is offering, we become a top 3 team, and oh ya, your pops played here... And when was the last time Louisville was relevant?
