I heard it's academics. Some kind of technicality moving from a quarter to a semester system, and he would have had the same problem if he chose FSU or anywhere else on semesters.
Our old buddy Mike Locksley promoted to OC at Alabama. I can't wait to see Saban lay into him on the sideline for something, then to see Locksley punch him back.
Yes perhaps viable was not the correct term. He was as awful at passing as JGJ. How about "QB who isn't a walk-on who looks 12 years old but is a body we can use in desperate situations?"
I've stayed pretty much on the "I don't know what to think" train regarding this long process. But at this point I am actually quite impressed. Do you know how impossible it is for a staff to go about this this long without one minor, tiny leak, or anything else that would lead to speculation...
The goal is to pick the two best teams in the country to play a championship game. There was always controversy over who the 2nd best team was, though, so they created a 4-team playoff.
You have a great point here. We have a ton of returning starters and plenty of experience, plus another year of being coached up. That alone should mean significant and marked improvement. Unfortunately, I think our hopes will be limited by an 18 year old QB. I may be in the minority here...
Yeah some of my insider friends say that this staff is great evaluators. They aren't going off of big names or numbers of stars. I by and large trust them in that respect, at least for another couple classes.
But how much do we think that 11 guys on the All-B1G FR team is a result of the mass...
Im decently happy with how we played today, given how it could have been...but my god our qbs are terrible. All three of them. Cam is a worse passer than Crouch, which I didn't think was possible. Hands down the biggest thing holding us back.

Well said. A month ago we were all saying how this would be a 3-4 win year. We all thought we would lose this game before the season started. The fact that we were highly optimistic going into it says just how much improvement we have already had. We are allowed to be let down by this one...
I'm a happy boy tonight! We did what we needed to do. It was so satisfying seeing our defense be where they're supposed to be. WKU certainly made some penalties/mistakes that definitely could have meant a touchdown both ways with a 14-13 loss. Even if that happened though, we did what we needed...
