Agreed. From what I saw it took TJL time to develop a winning attitude, but the knowledge and skill is there. At the end of the season he looked like a B1G guard with his defense and decision making. He could be great here the next two years with Ayo and Trent.
Sorry probably should’ve said “this team and culture”. I don’t think he’s a bad kid, but I think that It’s clear he was never going to buy in to the program Underwood is building
Good luck kid. Now replace him with someone that wants to be part of a team and culture. Don’t believe there’s something building? This kid, that actually helped our program, disagrees. https://twitter.com/_trentfrazier1/status/970455183586136065
Did anyone else listen to Alan’s interview on Tay and Carp? Really impressed me. He’s a shooter, defender, and a winner. He talks about playing his role to the best of his ability and doing what it takes to win. Love a coaches son.
Underwood’s first statement on recruiting as our coach was to disregard stars and let him go get guys that fit his system and that he wants at Illinois. I, for now, choose to back and believe in the guy.
A lot of IF guys can improve, but I’m cautiously optimistic as to how this freshman class improves to their sophomore year. A lot of hard workers that, I think, are perfect for a guy like Kipper to be getting better around.
