Toledos enrollment is down and has far less subsidies and donations than Miami. Candle was the OC the 4 seasons prior to HC so is part of the reason for the previous regimes record and recruiting. Toledo hasn't experienced hardly any luls as a program in general as they play in the nicest/ one...

Miami had the best recruiting class in the MAC this season. UT wins it most years, but both are always near the top. Miami has way more money than UT, just a weaker consistent history. Toledo has even bowl eligible every year since 2009. Candle has been on staff during all of that time period.

It just depends on the schedule and who the Rockets would get at home. I'd guess 3-6 to 6-3 if OSU, Mich and Penn State were avoided. Toledo is 1-0 vs. both Michigan and PSU... they werent nearly the teams they have now when beaten though. Iowa would be the most frustrating to watch.

It took until today that my bragging about Illinois being an actual competent team has caught on. Toledo would have a similar record to the Illini if they were in the B1G West. That's usually the case for a fringe top 25 G5 squad.
