He had it backwards. You can't contain Edey unless fouls are called on him. If they would have played ball denial on him and focused on everyone else, they win easily.

Something similar happened against Illinois a few years ago. They went to look at a flagrant foul against the other team. Ended up calling a foul on Illinois instead and game the other team the ball. I couldn't believe it.

It's not the number of fouls called on Illinois, it's that coupled with the lack of calls on Purdue. The game should have been more like 17 for Illinois and 19 for Purdue. Taking away a couple offensive rebounds and points from Purdue and at least 5 made free-throws. Adding free throw points...

How exactly?!? Lots of loose ball fouls not called on Purdue during scrambles for rebounds, Edey could have had four fouls by halftime easy, at least two out of bounds calls called wrong, phantom fouls called on Harmon, Hawkins, Gurrier. No calls when Ty gets fouled a few different times...

Edey should have fouled out early in that game. The refs were very generous in their no calls. Lots of three second violations too.
