1/17 Games

Man, Ohio State is exactly what I hoped we would be this season. Team picked near the bottom of the conference surprising everyone. Looking ahead at their schedule, they have a very good chance of going 12-0 in conference with their next 5 games at home against unranked teams.

They also have a pair of senior studs in KBD and Tate. KBD in particular looks like a lottery pick.

Holtmann is a good coach, but it really helps when you have a fairly favorable schedule early on and stud seniors.

They've played a much tougher schedule than us and than most. I wouldn't call it favorable.

Beating UM and MSU is fantastic. Their four losses come to a combine 12 pt deficit, with no game being lost by more than a 5 pts. Those losses are Gonzaga, Clemson, Butler, and UNC. three are top 15 teams, 1 is borderline top 25. They also haven't been close to losing any games.

They should be ranked higher than they are. One of those teams that can win any given night. I favor them over Purdue right now.

This is false, not sure where you got those numbers. They lost to Gonzaga by 27, Clemson by 14, and UNC by 14. However they seem much improved since the Gonzaga and Clemson losses and otherwise I agree with your post.

I thought they were pretty overlooked. Senior team with some talent, and a freshman that was ranked one of the best centers in the class in Wesson.

Holtmann's going 7-0 in his first year in the B1G has not been done for 95 years and there have been some fairly good B1G coaches over that time. Also announcers said last night that if tOSU continues winning he has to be in consideration for National COY.
