I did not expect Michigan to take its first loss from Wisconsin. This IND-PUR looks interesting, Purdue has come out hot! 🔥 🔥

Incredible loss by Kansas, Self does it again!
I don't know if this was already posted. I don't read all the threads, all the time. But, I am unable to understand how Kansas, Self, and their program could actually admit recruiting violations, and then want the player reinstated. Looney tunes cartoons never attempted something so fantastical, and I was a big fan of Elmer Fudd, and Porky pig. Scumbags. https://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article224703615.html

Watched the Wisky-Maryland game the other day, and in the first half Wisconsin looked just terrible. I thought that these guys are going to be a push over this year. Fernando was giving Happ fits. Second half was polar opposite and Wisconsin almost pulled that game out after being down big. Apparently, UI isn't the only team that plays bad halves.

As the article mentions near the bottom, situations where the student-athlete is required to re-pay money they received against NCAA rules and then having their eligibility reinstated (later on) is more common than general fans are aware of. A lot of times they are smaller situations (i.e., athlete received a free meal during the summer), but bigger situations do happen.

Only speaking to the occurrence of these things happening, as I'm unfamiliar with the details for De Sousa besides what's written in the article you cited.

I liked this statement from their AD: "The process is ongoing and we will continue to work closely with the NCAA staff. Our commitment to integrity and to the process is unwavering."

Sure, I can understand different interpretations and views. I guess when people testify in federal court, with tapes of what Self, and Townsend said, reading between the lines is not really that hard. I am familiar enough with the history of KU basketball to believe what I believe.

Always thought that second halves were frequently determined by the team that made the best adjustments at the break Thought it was an indication of good coaching though not expert enough to judge.

Interestingly, Archie Miller beginning to take a lot of criticism at IU. Living in Brownsburg, get all the IU and Purdue news. Think injuries have hurt them. Still believe he will be good.

EIU won in a competitive back and forth game today over Austin Peay 85-83. Panthers were led in scoring by Josiah Wallace who had 27 points, including 5-5 from 3 point range. Mack Smith scored 18. Shareef Smith added 12 points, all in the second half, including the final 10 points of the game for EIU as well as the game winning 15 foot jumper with 4 seconds left. EIU actually made a big 2nd half comeback in this one, trailing by 14 points with under 10 minutes to play.

With the win, EIU improves to 11-8 overall and 4-2 in the OVC. Austin Peay falls to 13-6 overall and 5-1 in the OVC. EIU returns to action Thursday night at UT Martin. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM. The Panthers defeated the Skyhawks in the OVC opener for each team 92-87 in overtime back on January 3rd.
