Maryland survives at Ohio St, OSU had their chances at the end but missed FTs and a late turnover sealed their fate.

Butler/Creighton is a good one on FS1 if anyone is looking for an Illini pregame show
Yea, I was just watching that game as well. First time I've seen Creighton. They dictated the game with about 8 mins. left in the first half onwards. You don't usually see Butler teams play that poorly defensively. I came away impressed with Creighton despite them losing their good PG.

I have the same thought about McDermott. Don't know if he is top choice but when I see them they look like a well coached team and they are pretty fun to watch offensively. Have not seen a ton of them this year. Just bits of a few games.

I'm not a fan of McDermott only b/c he had his chance at a high major program(Iowa St.) and basically stunk it up. I am impressed with what he's doing and what he did when Doug McDermott was there but I don't think he could recruit Chicago.

He is having a pretty nice year, but if you look at the totality of his Creighton years without his son (i.e., last two years) he has been pretty mediocre. Add the disaster at ISU, he is definitely not the coach for Illinois.

I am looking forward to seeing what Northwestern has for Purdue tomorrow. This should be a real test for them. Pardon and Benson gonna have a load to deal with Biggie and Haas. It will be a competitive game though.

Would it help that his son is on the Bulls? Probably not.

Maybe more interesting at Evanston, but I think Purdue handles them easily at Mackey.

With Lindsey and Taphorn out, Purdue is going to coast to a double digit win (probably by 20+) over Northwestern. Losing Lindsey for any period of time is a major blow to NU, he was playing at or near 1st team B10 level.

Scottie Lindsay was the Big Ten Player of the Week on January 16th.

Yea, losing Lindsey hurts, no question about it. But, they do have freshman Isiah Brown and he's pretty solid. He may get some more run.
