It's early and we have not played that many crazy games yet, but the Big Ten has really avoided stumbling out of the gate, especially at the bottom, unlike the Pac-12 and ACC. The Big Ten is 35-2 (.946) overall, including a very impressive MSU win over #4 Kentucky on a neutral floor. We went 3-1 in yesterday's Gavitt Games vs. the Big East (thanks, Minnesota!), and the Big Ten is favored (or even) in both tonight - #20 Michigan at Pitt and Iowa at Seton Hall. Wisconsin also beat Stanford on a neutral floor, so the Big Ten is 4-1 vs. "Power Six" opponents and should be 6-1 after tonight, although I admit I am more of a believer in Iowa than some others. Like I said, the hard games start this week and it's so early in the season, but the Big Ten has taken care of business from top to bottom while some other conferences haven't ... good for Illinois, and it's easily the Illini who can do the most to boost the league's reputation in the college hoops world this week, with two matchups with ranked opponents on neutral floors (either both top 10, or top 10 and top 20). Let's go get two Ws!
