Great game. I'm glad to see the mildcats go down. Plus, I married a Butler girl that was there during their 2 NC appearances so I have become an honorary Butler fan.

Charlie Moore apparently dropped 38 last night in OT against UC Irvine

Wow. What could have been. But really he did what was best for him. Does anyone here think he'd have been starting and playing 40 minutes in a game this quick into his Freshman year if he had come to Illinois? Not unless he just dominated everyone in practice...

In my College Basketball Fantasy league, my backcourt is Marcus LoVett, Glynn Watson, Quintin Snider and Tyler Dorsey. I figure if Illinois can't benefit from those guys, maybe my Fantasy team will. Didn't consider Charlie...

Kid was so grossly underrated coming out of high school. I don't care if he isn't 6'3" and can't throw down a windmill. He's a born scorer that's going to put up monster numbers in college.

man, I really wanted that kid, especially after he decommited from Memphis. Couldn't believe the number of people on here who pushed back on that. Cal had 3 starters out last night and he just took over. That's the kind of player he is. You never have to worry about who's the leader on the court or who'll step up in crunch time with Charlie. Hope he has a great career out there.

I remember watching Charlie Moore destroy everyone two years ago at Peach Jam and thinking he could turn around Illinois' fortunes. He's going to be a stud at Cal.

Think about the point guards we've been in on during Groce's tenure. We were on the shortlist for DJax, Monte Morris, London Perrantes, Brunson, Jawun Evans, Shake Milton, Charlie Moore...and that's not counting Ulis, who apparently wanted us to offer/prioritize him before he blew up (not that he'd have come here anyway). If 1-2 of those kids had ended up in Champaign, I suspect the whole narrative around the program would be very different right now.

I've got very high hopes for Trent Frazier. Hopefully at least one of Frazier, Te'Jon, and Da'Monte turn out to be all-conference caliber.

Luwane Pipkens has been really good in my limited viewings of him this year. Groce knows point guards!

Nebraska looked horrible. They're really going to miss Andrew White. Watson looked good, Morrow was meh, Webster is asked to do too much scoring, but Louisville transfer Anton Gill will help alleviate that proble., McVeigh is not scared to pull 3's, and he is fairly adept at it. Roby looked like a freshman, and I don't expect him to contribute a whole lot. It's going to be the Huskers and Scarlet Knights fighting for 13th. PSU and Minny arent that far behind either also. Tim Miles might be on the hot seat after this year.

I think Iowa belongs in the second tier of teams. They don't have depth, but a solid starting five with a POY candidate in Peter Jok. Uhl killed us last year. He's a skilled, undersized pf with athleticism..
