12/18 Games

It’s kinda petty, but we all know Archie is a very good coach and seeing IU struggle at home should remind everyone how patience is key in year 1.

Will Indiana go 0-4 against intra state schools?

0-3 against Intra state public schools. They just beat Notre Dame on saturday. They only play Purdue once (guess they could get them in the B1G tourney).

I'll take my enjoyment where I can get it for now.

My Dad's a big IU fan (yeah, I know).
Anyway, he was watching the debacle with FW tonight.
The Fort was 17 of 28 from beyond the arc.
That's lethal

It's late and I may have missed something but, I believe that he meant that IU lost 92-72...? As I said, I may be missing something here... FWIW the Mastodons hit 17 3's.

Right. I’m confused as to why IU is getting pummeled by IPFW.

There's not much you can do when a team shoots 17-28 from 3. No team is gonna hang with that. Sometimes (as we all know) teams that you were expecting to beat handily just play out of their minds. It's seemed to happen to us quite often over the past few years.

IU actually hit 17 threes against us in, I wanna say 2002? I was there in Bloomington for that one.

Quick FYI - would not recommend going to a road venue to see your team give up 17 3s.

Seem about right. That would have been their miraculous NC game year with the annoying group of Coverdale, Fife, Moye, Jeffries, correct? That team could shoot lights out from 3.

I was a student at UI when that IU game and the tourney loss to ND took place. Those two games were the salve I kept rubbing on my wounds after Self left.

I’d also argue IU has a more complete roster than us. Robert Johnson & Juwan Morgan are All BIG caliber players and Deron Davis is a solid big man. Things could be worse folks.

IU's guards got abused all game long. Morgan and Davis are pretty good, but their guards are weak and take terrible shots.

Robert Johnson is supposed to be a top 15 player in the conference. Newkirk is very meh, but an experienced upperclassmen. On paper he and Johnson should be a solid back court. Just a reminder than expectations can't be high for new coaches, no matter their pedigree. I wouldn't trade places with IU right now.
