Well, here's an interesting match up tonight that just tipped off on ESPNUHD:
Stephen F Austin vs Mizznoz!!! U think BU is checking this game out or what?

Tilmon with two fouls already, just ten minutes into the game.

If our game plan and execution isn't driving to the basket all night to draw fouls, I'm going to rage something fierce. If Cuonzo has any sense whatsoever, he's going to throw a zone at us to try and prevent this. We've already demonstrated an inability to function consistently against the zone.

Mizzou 82
SFA 81

Mizzou gives up 21 TOs but goes 11-22 from three for the one point win.

Damn, thought this would be a trap game for the Tigers. Too bad the Lumberjacks didn't pull it off.

Trae Young with 26 points and 22 assists tonight for Oklahoma. Dude is a stud freshman.

I severally underestimated this kid as a recruit. I thought he was more LaMelo Ball than Steph Curry. Which is to say he put up big numbers in HS mostly because he was the best player against weak competition and shot overtime he touched it.

I watched most of the SFA/Mizzou game, a few notes:

1. Mizzou shot something like 66% in the first half, and was up around 75% most of it. Also shot over 90% from the free throw line and still couldn't pull away. I don't think they can shoot that well away from home. This is a very gettable game.

2. Harris is quick and will give us problems with penetration.

3. Mizzou just looked a tough opponent in the eye, made big shots, and came out with the win. Our last game we had a chance to do the same and piddled down our leg (again). Will be interesting to see how each team comes out.

4. Kind of a punk move by Cuonzo to schedule this game right before ours. He sure seems like he has an axe to grind against the Illini. We had better come ready to play. My guess is Cuonzo has had Bragging Rights Circled on his calendar since the day Mizzou hired him.

5. If we played SFA today, I think SFA would beat us.

They sure got a good look at what we'll be trying to run against them. Their guards did get bothered by pressure. SFA had some very athletic guys but no real big to protect the rim. Where they got killed was Mizzou being red hot from 3 in the first half.

Tilmon can really run the floor and has pretty good hands. Looks much more motivated and conditioned than in high school. He would have helped us a great deal. He would have fit CBU's system just fine.

Thanks for the update?

I'm no Cuonzo fan, but why is it a punk move to schedule SFA before us?

Actually seems like a smart move. Get exposure to playing the style you will play against in a rivalry game, keep team fresh with a game v just practice, assuming no finals for them.

Tilmon is a good athlete but played for a high school coach his senior season that didn't know basketball and how to utilize him. JT would've fit well in any system he's not a pro yet but within 2yrs I think he will be a NBA product

Mizzo should've lost that game Canete made some weird pass when the momentum was in SFA favor. Their guard pressure ws unreal and their guards were mostly veterans that understood how to pressure without fouling.

They dint have a big but their interior posts understood their strengths and played to their strengths not forcing issues. TJL and Frazier are small guards and tend to try to attack and force plays trying to score Porter and JT will be a ask for those two.

Blasphemer! Burn him at the stake!

J/K agree we could use him, but what's done is done, time to look forward.
