This team plays better when it feels disrespected. I think BU must be pretty adept at using this kind of thing as motivation. If it motivates us to play like we did against Rutgers, I'm ok with AP voters taking their time to come back around on us.

I'm a firm member of Team Rankings DO Matter™ ... but I am counting this as a good thing. We have two MASSIVE opportunities this week, and keeping the team hungry for one more Monday isn't the worst thing in the world. Frankly, given that we were literally #10 a few weeks ago, I think they SHOULD see it as disrespect; the pollsters are signaling that they all believe they were flat out wrong about hyping Illinois at all, and that even having them as a top 25 team was a mistake.
I think even if we drop one at Iowa but still can beat Arizona, we will return to the top 25. If we beat Iowa but lose to Arizona, we might even still have a shot? If we win both, we are very clearly back in the top 20 and hopefully never looking back. Lose both, and we probably still have a ways to go. With all of that said, if we come out with energy like we did against RU, I am feeling really optimistic and pumped for this week! Four straight vs. Iowa sounds pretty nice.

I have huge respect for Purdue. Didn't like them when Keady was there, but I am a big fan of Matt Painter and what he's built there. Of course I want to beat them by 20, but you get the point.

Well, being the standalone B1G game today on a nationally broadcasted sports network (FS1) should help with that - for better or worse.
Notre Dame game... we showed fortitude, the game we found some three point shooting, but I thought Rutgers was the first game where everyone looked comfortable. Hopefully Iowa doesn't take us seriously. I'm super curious to see how the ref's job us tonight. LOL They're always so creative.
