It's official on twitter
There we go. Finally landed a kid
That would be cool and could still be pretty! I was originally going to sort it as a depth chart, and then considered a much more modest column listing first or second string, but the staff has enough difficulty coming up with a depth chart, how am I going to do that from here? And the devil is in the details. What happens when a player is injured? Or how to handle players listed on the depth chart at multiple depths and multiple positions? And the maintenance of monitoring the depth chart and making changes made me realize it would be more work than I wanted to handle. So we just have a chart sorted by class and 24/7 rating.Maybe it wouldn't look as pretty, but laying it out as more of a depth chart, with first string at the top of each position, rather than graduating year would be pretty cool.
Thanks, Altenberger. Glad to help. I think Robert might have received inspiration for his post about non-freshman redshirts from last year's chart which showed them. Be sure to check out Positive Illini fan's depth chart, too, in the Illini Football 2020 thread.ILL -- a really nice grid. Love it!!
I now feel much more equipped to comprehend Robert's football posts. (BTW --- what shade of orange are the 5-stars?)
We just landed a transfer from Cal. Chinedu Udeogu
We awarded Ethan tabel and Donny Navarro both scholarships last year. They are have to be earned each year.
Sedarius just committed:
Daniel Edwards to Illinois!!!!
DD Snyder just committed to Illinois:
Just picked up a commitment from a ATH/WR out of VA
Kreutz commits! Hell yeah! Huge get.
Tate said yesterday that Smalling was not returning to the team. I don’t know if it’s injury or transfer related or something else. Cerny also not returning.
Zachary Barlev OG out of Plainfield East commits to the Illini!! Had been committed to Bowling Green.
Also, I'm putting Navarro and Tabel back as scholarship players until I hear something more official. Let me know if I missed anything!
Help you out here:Busted. Haha. It was only two weeks, so if I worked on this as soon as I got back, it might not have been so bad, but I think there was a commit and decommit in that time frame, so that saved some time.
