Thoughts after Day 1?
I think the NFL did the best they could under the circumstances. There could have been more communication snafus. I feel bad for the kids who missed out on the limelight. But hey, it wasn't always such a high profile event. I laughed at the Henry Ruggs bathrobe interview.
As far as who was selected by which teams, pretty much as expected. There is always a few surprise selections. OT Isaiah Wilson probably was the biggest one.
Fromm seems like a Pace/Nagy kind of guy. A much more polished version of Mitch, but with less arm. Any chance the Bears use one of their 2nd rounders on him?
I actually kind of doubt it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they traded down for multiple 3rd and 4th rounders.
The names I've heard the Bears connected to with their 2nd round picks include are Kmet, TE from Notre Dame, and KJ Hamler, the WR from Penn State.
The only QB I've seen the Bears taking in mocks has been Nate Stanley from Iowa with a late round pick.
