why would the Astros even let him interview if they want him to replace Dusty soon? And why while they are in winning?

Pedro Grifol is your next Sox manager.

Not sure how excited I should be about hiring the bench coach from the Royals. He was around for their World Series runs however.

Grifol said all the right things at the presser and interviews. Hope he gets the support to do the things he wanted to do. Hired a good bench coach and let some coaches go that was needed.

This Chicago White Sox fan offers congratulations to Houston for winning its first World Series title.

Yes, I said the FIRST. Because it is. Probably... unless something comes out in the future.

Kind of hard to swallow. Need to wash it down with a little 2005 WS vintage.

is the key to the 23 season where Sheets plays? too good of an upside to be traded [Tatis] and in spite of losing one of the best all time 1st basemen, there are still too many. unfair to him and unwise to play him in right field. how many at bats at first, dh and right will he get? need his left hand at bats more than his defense?

"According to Finestead, she has detailed to those investigators incidents of physical, verbal and emotional abuse, including an incident from last June in which Finestead said Clevinger choked her, and another about two weeks later when she said Clevinger slapped her in a hotel room when the team was playing the Dodgers and threw used chewing tobacco on their child."

Goodness....

you can bet that the Sox's attorneys are exploring what it takes to cancel the contract for cause .
He's not guilty until he's proven guilty or admits it, but both he and the Sox are in a tough spot right now.
I'll be surprised if he's at camp in 4 weeks

Today — more than ever — Sports Franchises have to look beyond just Game Stats and salary structure. They have to dig deeper into the ‘Character’ issues. What kind of a guy is any given player. Any bad incidents in his past to be concerned about. What do his teammates say about him – past and current. How has he gotten along with his Managers. What is his family situation. And today of course, what has he posted to the Web.

You need not only good Players. You need Players of Good Character.

The Sox already have enough issues with their public face. They need to get this right. And other things as well.

A shout-out to all members of Illini Nation who are Chicago White Sox fans as we begin a new season of joys and heartbreaks. (Let’s hope we have more of the former and less of the other stuff).

And best wishes to Jose Abreu who will always be a Sox great even as wears the uniform of another. Have a great season and much success because you deserve it.

Prediction on outcome though game has started. The manager (name doesn’t matter, they all do the same thing) will take out Cease after a masterpiece. After only 6 innings and or 90ish pitches. The bullpen may be successful but still drives me crazy. Oh how I miss the complete game.
