As happy as I am for Casey, that statement encapsulates the state of Illini football for a long time. Depressing when I remember growing up in Mt.Zion and having season tickets from the late 70s to the mid 80s during the years when the Williams brothers ran the field and David was even in the Heisman race. Oh, I pray we can return to the success of the Mike White years.

While I get where you're coming from, WR has not traditionally been a strong position for the program. The 1980s are the only decade in the program's history where they've produced more than 2 NFL Draft level players.
