3/10 Games

Makes me sick watching Purdue and Michigan. Such good basketball. Both teams get great shots, work the ball, drive to the hoop and get easy baskets. Sad watching good basketball being played because I know how far we are from that.

Ho hum, SMU is flat-out destroying somebody again. Nothing to see here.

Since their last loss at Cincy in January, SMU has beaten (among other wins):

UConn by 20
Houston by 21
East Carolina by 40
Tulsa by 23
Tulsa by 23 again
Memphis by 41

and now they're up 19 on East Carolina early in the 2nd half.

I'm not 100% against Jank, but his record as a head coach before teaming up with Larry Brown (157-121 overall, 83-77 in conference) doesn't inspire much confidence. He's also 57, which is surprising to me.

I know there won't be any high ranked B1G teams in the tournament, but these two games today show why any B1G team that does make it will be a threat to get to the 2nd weekend.

Pirates did get within 2 before losing by 4.

A direct text I just got from a KSU friend who was at the game: "Every time. I've never seen him draw up a decent look to win a game. So frustrating."

While frustrating at least his team was in position to have a shot at winning the game.

I have to think their quality wins get them in but, KSU fans will be sweating on Sunday.
