I'm rooting for KSU, but that flagrant is a terrible call....he may have wrapped his ankle but is you watch the ball, he actually touches it before touching his ankle.

Horrible call

Horrible call

Its just ref's looking for things to call as it relates to flagrant fouls. All they looked for was "Did he wrap his ankle" and they didn't even pay attention to whether he touched the ball first.

Cal now down 38-18. Just getting run by freaking CS Bakersfield

Cal game hard to watch.
1. They are playing bad
2. This camera angle is terrible.

Cal down 44-19 at the half. The mighty Roadrunners of Bakersfield are dominating.

That's gross, but also happens quite a bit in the NIT. 90% of the battle in the NIT is wanting to play the game.

This Cal team must know Cuonzo is leaving...I mean damn...this is bad. This team supposedly has NBA talent on it. Illinois better not be hiring Cuonzo

Pac-12 looking awful in the NIT. It's making me reconsider how well I have them doing in my bracket.

I was sort of talking myself back into Cuonzo again, but this is the third time I've watched Cal this year and his offense is just horrendous. It looks exactly like Bruce's in the worst years: sporadic movement, not crisp, weak screens, no penetration, weird spacing for the bigs, lots of passing around the perimeter, no post feeds, bad threes as the clock is winding down :tsk:

With the same talent level, Weber>Groce>Cuozo. NO CUOZO PLEASE

I don't think Raab even played. I believe there was another Cal player who sat that one out. So, I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from that one.

I think Cuonzo would be a real good hire. Did well at Tennessee, got great talent at Cal, he's a BT guy, knows the region, I think he'd keep the recruiting class together and he's recruited Smith.....Could bring him into the fold.

They could do a lot worse if that's the choice.

I had sort of talked myself into being ok with hiring Cuonzo and still would be I guess. But watching Cal get dismantled in first half by Bakersfield is not inspiring. These kind of games happen in the NIT but, such an uninspired performance is what we are looking for a new coach to guide us away from.

Hadn't seen this anywhere on here yet. Indiana refuses to host NIT game because it would devalue Assembly Hall? http://www.crimsonquarry.com/2017/3/13/14912582/fred-glass-nit-home-game-assembly-hall-tom-crean Fun to read the comment section.

It's funny to see Hoosiers turn their unintelligible wrath against one of their own.

GT played a really nice game last night and held off a solid IU rally in the 3rd quar....I mean the first segment of the 2nd half.

Pastner looks like such a little kid on the sidelines. Kind of like a Mizzou-era Quin Snyder with slightly better hair.

Cal was missing their two top players so there's some justification for the offense being bad. That being said I've watched several other Cal games this year and it really didn't look much different. Where the difference was on the defensive end. No intensity whatsoever and missing their two best players didn't help. They were clearly not up for the game, whether that's because they were unhappy about being in the NIT or because their coach is the subject of many rumors or....?

Bottom line they pretty much looked like we did in the Alabama NIT game a few years ago. Cuonzo wants the Illinois job but does Illinois want him? I think he would be an excellent B Tier hire but I really hope we don't have to make that call.

I kinda got my jollies watching Clemson blow the lead to Oakland. The ESPN pundits just COULDN'T take them off their bubble despite the 6-12 conference record because of ALL THOSE CLOSE LOSSES. Then they crap the bed after that big lead.

And Wake Forest, ANOTHER ACC TEAM, AWESOME BABY!!!! goes down in the 1st 4. Now if Syracuse loses to Greensboro, that will be more icing.

Yeah, ACC is a tad overrated. Strong at the top a 'meh' middle and a terrible bottom. From the bottom to the top the Big12 was the best conference this year.
