It is interesting how March works out. I have always said the NCAA tournament does not tell you who the best team is. Sometimes it works if Gonzaga plays Baylor that would be the best two teams. A couple upsets changes a region.

I hope someday Illinois gets lucky and have to beat a 11 or 12 to advance to the final four. Instead we get stuck playing one of the best 8 seeds in recent memory Which was a lot like Kentucky playing Witcha St a few years back. I think this year was the worst seeding jobs I have seen. Covid had a huge impact or there are only a few dominant teams. I don’t know
People act like we had some huge hurdle with Loyola.

If we had beat Loyola, we would have to get through Ore State to get to Houston. Ore State sliced through Loyola without issue...
We did not. We are the only #1 seed this year not making the Elite 8. We had a fair opportunity and were not unfairly bracketed, IMO.

Agree. It is what it is. We lost and complaining about seedings at this point just makes us look bad. If Loyola marched to a NC, maybe it‘s a different story.
