I struggle to believe AM going to UK would be what's best for his development. If it happens, that will seem unfortunate. There are other places to go where it would at least make sense to me. UK isn't one of them.
If anything, that'd be doubling down.

If this is true. He doesn't care about winning. He cares about being the Man on a losing team
There’s a lot of recency bias here. Hard to tell right now who will be better next year with the rosters up in the air. Although I do think he’s be better off here

It’s not hard at all. Not us especially if he doesn’t come back. But as everyone has said he will have a fraction of the role there that he would here.

Underwood was on with Tate and Kelly this morning and was asked about Miller. I didn’t hear the entire interview, but BU said they were still in touch.

As far the Kentucky thing, I find it difficult to imagine they would guarantee him a roster spot. I’ve no doubt they’ve talked, but he doesn’t seem to fit their mold. Of course we all said that about another guard a few years ago. Tyler Ulis.

Rumors are it’s Kentucky
Will be the biggest mistake of he and his handlers lives. He will sit the bench, play some scrap minutes, and sail off into obscurity with the rest that are recruited there to fill holes.

Might he get a car, yes. Might Nikki B get a place to live, yes.

Might he become the .an with the rock in his hands, noooooo. Unless it's a bad pass and he snags it from the pine, I guess.

He isnbeing played like a puppet. Like Nimari Burnetts mom posted on tweeter, "coaches will tell you anything to get you on campus."

I'm assuming all his classes are remote right now anyway, so he can attend them from anywhere
Nephew is a student at Illinois. They have requirements for testing and can’t be away from campus too long due to these requirements for testing.

Can somebody remind me what sound the dynamite makes? It's been so long since Eric Gordon...

Daughter at UI, she doesn't have to be in campus. Everything is remote. Though, she is on campus.

Apparently UK is turning over rocks looking for a point guard. There are a couple articles from UK sites that cover the Miller and UK rumor this AM. Not sure if it's ok to link. They are not hard to find. One seems to think Miller would be a good fit at pg for them. The other, not so much.

Personally, I think AM needs to be a lead / point guard to play in the NBA. I don't think he has the height / length to be a 3-and-D. Needs to improve both his skills (handle, passing, court awareness) and athleticism (strength, hops, speed, quickness) to be a point guard. He does not need play point guard in college. He can develop in practice and play combo guard.

I may be wrong, but I see UK as program that plugs NBA ready kids into their system and lets them showcase their existing talent and skills.

Adam Miller could join Bryce Hopkins on the UK practice squad and bench next season.

Here's one of the articles you might be referring to. It's a free site, so it should be ok to link.

The article, and a number of the comments from UK fans, are pretty lukewarm about Adam filling their top need, a true point guard.

A few quotes:

"Miller may be someone that can come in and be the point guard next season, but his 0.8 assists per game average from this season would need to dramatically increase as the primary ball handler."

"He seems like a decent player, but I’m not sure he’s a good fit at PG for us. His highlight reel is mostly him receiving assists, not dishing them and it doesn’t really show him driving to the basket."

"Not the guy I’d want to come be our starting PG this fall."

"... I wouldn’t feel comfortable having him be the only real PG on the roster next year. Would make me very nervous."

All that said, if Team Miller really thinks he needs to play point guard to have a realistic chance at the NBA, I can see the attraction of possibly getting a chance to do that at Kentucky, although it looks to be a high risk scenario.

I agree that we haven't seen him really play PG either. Not sure how it would work out somewhere like Kentucky...hard to see him as primary ballhandler there for sure

Another one:

"Kentucky is in desperate need of adding guard help going into the 2021-22 season, and with Miller finding so much early success for one of the top teams in college basketball last year, it’s hard to argue against the fit."

Another one by UK homer Jack Pilgrim:

When it comes to Miller’s game, [Bryce's father Clyde] Hopkins says the standout freshman has plenty more in his bag of tools he wasn’t necessarily able to show at Illinois in year one.

“I’ve been watching Adam since his freshman year (of high school), I really like his game. Very versatile,” Hopkins told KSR. “He wasn’t able to show a lot of it this year down at (Illinois). He can handle the ball really well, he can shoot it, just a very versatile combo guard.”

I’d love to have Miller stay, the kids a stud. But if he thinks his best shot at making the nba is running the point, I see why he is looking for a change.

I can really see him making it as a combo in the nba, I mean if Nunn can do it, Miller surely can.

Nunn plays pg for Miami usually when he is in game.

On 2005 team...was Dee PG or Deron?

If Nunn can do it, how will Miller be able to?
