These young men coming out of Coach Underwood's basketball program are absolutely stellar representatives of the University and the team. Ayo, Kofi, Damonte, Trent, and others have spoken highly about their growth and positive experience while at Uof I, which should positively impact recruiting in the future, given the ongoing success our staff has had in bringing in quality individuals who are buying in to the team concept. Love the trajectory we are on, Coach U and his assistants are an outstanding asset to the school. Great hires, all of them. Ayo will definitely be feeling the love on his special night here.

Attracting top talent to play for Illini is FUN. Success can be contagious. And winning never gets old. We can get used to this without ever taking it for granted.

Wonderful thing to celebrate. Gives the young guys a sense of how Ayo and the others have helped rebuild the program.
