So Danny Wirtz calls the shots now, right? How long is this allowed to continue before a move is made? This is ridiculous. There is plenty of cause to clean house beginning with Bowman.

This will certainly tarnish John McDonough's image. Crazy how they thought this could be swept under the rug. This franchise is in complete disarray on and off the ice.

He obviously wasn't part of the organization back then, but how uncomfortable do you think Colliton is feeling in his position right now?

I mean, he should have been fired a long time ago, but Stan either couldn't see it or wouldn't admit his mistake. Without Stan around, I don't think he'll last long without some miraculous turnaround. The Hawks started awfully last year and then turned it around with a nice stretch but it's hard to imagine something similar happening this season.

I don't believe the interim GM will be making a permanent coaching hire, so I expect we're going to see Marc Crawford finish out the season, for better or worse. He's at least had some success in the league, even if most of it was last century.

Disconcerting side note: not only is Stan out as GM of Team USA, but Team USA assistant GM Bill Guerin is also part of an investigation into mishandling allegations while he was with the Penguins organization.

I think they will hire a permanent GM, may or may not be the interim guy who will then get to name his HC. May even start with a VP of Hockey Ops who then names a GM who then fires JC and figures out the coaching situation. I'd agree that Crawford should be interim when JC is fired but he'd have to have a Craig Berube type performance to stick longer than the rest of this season.

I'd like for them to go outside of the org for both the VP and GM roles.

When will the Blackhawks stop making fools of passionate Chicago hockey fans?

For many years, the ‘Owner’ of the Hawks would not allow home games to be televised. He was afraid it might cost him a dollar or two in lost ticket sales. Hey Owner, did you really fear ending up in a soup line that much even with all your other wealth?

All the peak playing years of Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita and the rest of the great teams back in the ‘60s could only be seen on away games and for many years not all those games were televised either. Generations of Chicago fans were robbed of seeing some of the greatest Blackhawks ever because of the greed of one man. And for no reason, because as Hawks fans later proved, you could have home TV and the place would still sell out.

(And believe it or not, for many years the ‘Owner’ would not allow RADIO of home games either! You had to get the other team’s out-of-town broadcast IF you could get it that night).

And now, the Stanley Cup winning years have been tarnished by the horrible actions of various individuals within the Blackhawks organization. Once again, this hockey organization has mocked and disrespected the fans in their horrible treatment of serious moral and ethical acts that required swift and appropriate action. And in fear that the public would see the evils that were being ignored and covered up.

The Blackhawks did become good at one thing over the years. Public Relations. Making it look like they were a good organization. Giving title-hungry Chicago fans a reason to believe that the Blackhawks were the go-to franchise for the City to find sports success.

And now, all that is gone. The good will and good feelings about the team and organization have been trashed out of expediency and cowardice. And perhaps, worries about the most important thing of all... MONEY... right, Blackhawks? Isn’t that always your real game you are playing?

Blackhawk fans have been disrespected for generations and now we have yet another sad chapter to add to the disgrace. You didn’t respect us enough to do the right things when you really needed to. Again and again, back then and now.

You take a beautiful game. You take a loyal and passionate fan base for generations. You take a great hockey city with a historic legacy franchise. You take all that and just throw it away. Again.

It’s too late to make a great save, Hawks. Your Stanley Cups are tarnished now, just like your organizational history.

Sometimes in life there are bigger things than winning a Stanley Cup. Too bad you never learned that lesson until it was too late.

The Wolves never looked so good as they do today. Better to be a Wolf than a Hawk-In-Sheep’s-Clothing.

I'm in no way, shape or form condoning the handling of this issue by the Hawks senior management.

But this is also a very... emotional and reactionary take on the whole situation.
