Just looking at the bracketmatrix today, BIG teams projected:

1 Purdue
3 MSU
5 tOSU
8 Michigan

Bubble:
Maryland
Nebraska

Looks to be a down year for the conference, although the few going look decent.

I think it’s going to be very difficult for Nebraska or Maryland to get in as both are severely lacking in good wins. Nebraska at least beat Michigan at home but both have come up 0-for against the top 3 in the Big Ten and missed out on their out of conference opportunities. Have got to think they need a big win in MSG to have a shot barring winning out or something close to it.

I actually think any of those 4 could do some damage in the tournament - I think tOSU (despite just losing to PSU) is quite underrated.

Nebby is going to at least 1 real win until they're actually in. Their strongest win this year is probably Michigan. After that I can't even find a win worth mentioning.

How does the committee handle defeating teams before injuries set in? The Minnesota team that Nebraska beat in early December is significantly better than the current version that is missing two starters to injury/criminal issues. Minny was a top-15 ranked team at the time.

KenPom has their SOS at #54.

All 4 of those and I really think that is all we get as I did at the beginning of the year...will/can go a ways this year. The top can play against anyone and win, parody is in full effect this year.

If your a betting man (I am), take every underdog and points and I think this year you may do well, don't see a lot of games covering point spreads. Talent is equal across the board for most part, no real singular GREAT team.

Virginia looks legit... I know you were talking about B1G so I also think Purdue could go really deep. I wouldn't put any money on any other team winning it. Though the odds neither does are extremely high.

I'll go ahead and be grammar or spelling cop, but I think you mean "parity." "Parody" is something else entirely.

Our B1G record as of late overall is a parody of basketball being played...but yes you got me, either way may apply when it comes to this March.:chief::thumb:

Is there a place to go and see the breakdown of teams from conference in the past years? I think 4 would be a low that has not been hit for a while. It seems lately even in "down" years the BiG has had 6 at least.
