Champaign-based VPN server?

I live in the Chicago TV market, about 80 miles from Champaign, and I have been toying with the idea of trying to get Champaign local channels.

I don't think an OTA antenna is a good option, unless I had the ability to mount a large antenna VERY high, which I don't. I could mount something in my attic, but my reception would likely be inconsistent at best.

That left me considering streaming services that provide local channels based on IP address. I subscribe to NordVPN already, but all of those servers are Chicago-based. I tried searching for Champaign VPN servers, but came up empty. Does anyone know of any VPN servers/providers located in the Champaign area, or any other options that I'm missing?

My understanding of how all that works is that the server location has little to do with it. It's more about the address you put into the VPN system (zip code/physical address) that somehow blocks your IP address. Which is what's happening to you...... I've done it with online games in the past to get cheaper prices on in-game purchases., but that was pretending I was in another country. It's not something I've done in several years.
