Chicago Bulls 2015-2016

Rondo was out 2 weeks and Westbrook was back within a couple days. Depends where on the face it was and if it's affecting his vision.

Looks like this thread is buried like the Bulls season. I was lucky to score two tickets in the Lexus Club to the game tonight and get see Kobe's last game in Chicago. Outside of cheering the Bulls on, I'm really excited to see how the Bulls honor Kobe tonight. I'd assume some legends will be present.

To the team, what did you all think about the minimal moves at the deadline? IMO, Pau should've been gone. We will have his expiring contract with no guarantee he returns in a season going nowhere fast. I would've like to see us score a pick for him at the deadline. There are probably a few teams that could've used Pau and would've dealt. I also hear on the radio that GarPax are hopeful Noah returns on a team friendly deal next year. Everyone should've been in the table short of Butler and maybe Portis. I love Rose, but he could've net us a nice return.

I think Gar/Pax are asleep at the switch. This team is almost completely unlikeable and the thing needs to get blown up. I can't believe they would be serious about bringing Noah back next season. He could barely move the last couple of seasons. And sorry, Rose with his contract and lack of production are unmoveable.

7 years without a trade for a rotation player. That's all that needs to be said to prove the front office has no clue how to build a championship caliber team. Also, didn't Thibs want to draft Draymond Green a few years ago and they ended up going with Teague instead?

You are 100% correct about Thibs wanting Green, atleast that is the way I understood it. ESPN via Friedell said Gar/Pax were reluctant to make a move, especially one involving Pau, because they were afraid that it would look like they were throwing in the towel on the season. These two have to be some of the most stubborn guys running any team any where. I would like the front office to commit to Butler, Rose, Portis, Snell and maybe McDermot(can't have enough floor stretchers), everyone else should've been on the block. So what if you tank this season, we are probably going to be anywhere from a 6 seed to barely missing and even if you miss Lebron in the first round, well they re-seed now, so you are definitely going to see them soon.

The game I was at last night was great. Kobe shoots a ton, but that is what everyone wanted to see. He had a great start to the 3rd, scoring on 4 straight possessions, vintage Kobe. The Lakers IMO are better when Kobe sits, because he shoots it every time he gets it. Byron Scott sat Kobe almost all of the 4th which was disappointing, but I understood why, they were playing well. Our Bulls fans treated Kobe in a first class way, I was very happy to see that. Not much of a ceromny, a little video during player introductions and Pau announced him.

How much better would the Bulls be if they'd used that 11th pick a couple years ago on Zach LaVine (picked at 13) instead of McDermott? Of course, at the time, the thought was that Rose was going to be back to his old self, and he and the Bulls were going to compete with the Miami/Cleveland LeBrons for Eastern Conference championships for the next half decade.

Butler is a very good player. Mirotic is about starter level. Snell is a guy who won't kill you when he's on the floor. Portis could turn into something. After that, it's hard to see what future building blocks the Bulls have.

Like they always say, hindsight is 20/20. I still have hope for McBuckets to be a better Mike Dunleavy for us. He has been showing flashes. I really like Portis. I think he is going to be good. Rose isnt his MVP self anymore but hes been coming on strong and if he can stay healthy and play at this level, thats all we need.

As much as I hate to say it, it pains me so, we may need to move on from Noah if he is just going to be hurt. If he can get back to his MVP finalist play then we are golden but...
