Chicago Bulls 2017-2018

Seems like a good trade. Not liking the top 8 pick protection for next year. This year, while of course we'd all love a top five pick (or two :D) I get the protection from NO. But two years? Not so much.

Almost no way the Pelicans end up with a top 5 pick anyway. Bulls should get two top half of the draft picks this year. Good trade. The obvious benefit is it helps the Bulls in their race to the bottom of the standings. They have to end up with one of the worst records now. They desperately need some good luck with their own draft pick this year. How about Trae Young and Miles Bridges? Couple them with Dunn, Markkanen and LaVine and I’m interested.

With the lottery, it's never a sure thing, but it's probable that the Pelicans would have to "gain" 8 1/2 games on the Suns in order for the top 5 protection to kick in this year. Unlikely, even with Cousins out.

The most likely scenario is that the Bulls will have something like the 6th and 15th pick. Which would still be really good. Even better if that 15th pick could creep down to about 12.

Hoping like hell for 2 top 10, one in each half
