IMO, that was a pretty good game.
Clemson 35, Alabama 31
Yes it was. Aside from the outcome, I enjoyed last year's game a bit more. But this was great. At 14-0 I was getting ready to do something else. I really thought Bama was going to roll at that point.
Those were two really good teams. So much better than any other teams I've seen over the past couple of years. Clemson has really been the only team I've seen matchup physically with Bama. It seems to me, as someone who hates Bama, that they take a few cheap shots in the first quarter and the opposition usually cowers. Clemson hit them right back.
The key last night for me was the O-line for Clemson. They did a great job. Allen and the rest of the D-line from Bama just could not dominate like they typically do.
Last thing I'll say is that I was shocked by the last play call. That was a long play to be running with just 6 seconds left. It worked, but man that took guts.
And you won't watch the World Series unless your team is in it ...

Scarbrough getting hurt really changed the complexion of that game. If Bama had him they could have just kept pounding him and I think killed enough clock to make the difference. Great game either way though.

Both teams executed well on pretty much every snap and the defense---oh my lord these boys hit hard. Clemson's receiving corps was unbelievable however. Great catch after great catch. I'd love to see us get even half-way toward that.
The trick play that Bama pulled off in the 4th to regain the lead was one of the most beautifully executed things I've ever seen on a football field.
