Exactly, per Sports Reference our defensive rank during the BU tenure below. If we want consistent post season success we’re going to need to improve those rankings.

2017 - 213th
2018 - 269th
2019 - 65th
2020 - 127th
2021 - 119th
2022 - 88th
2023 - 230th

Is that just based on points allowed because that's not a good indicator of a defense, just pace.

By kenpom they were 8th in 2021 and have basically been top 30 since 2020 except for this year.

I know everyone talked about the defense being a concern this year but I really don't think they were bad defensively by the time March rolled around.

I understand where you’re going. I really believe it was an issue because of guys just not being strong defenders. BU can coach defense but you have to have guys guys that can sit down and keep the ball in front of them and guys struggled with that. Hawkins just wasn’t a very good defender against bigger post players and that really hurt also. Hopefully different pieces this year will correct all that.
