College Sports (Basketball)

Thoughts about my msu post:

- good to see that this team is in fact led by Jeremy Fears. Freshmen learning right away by shoving and getting in the face of a Incarnate Word player 2 minutes into his first on court appearance

- there was about a 6 minutes into stretch in the first half when MSU put their second team on the floor and the score through that stretch was 4-4.

- a lot of MSU’s points were just due to being the bigger team. Carr got some “cool” dunks by having a 10+ inch vert on everyone else on the court

- Their bigs would fade on almost all of their post moves, soft. Especially against such an inferior opponent.

Not worried about those thugs.

yeah but they will bite, kick, scratch and test the limits of what is legal and the refs will let it go....I always feel like they don't have talent but then they seem to have our number recently

No, because eligibility is based on winning an injunction or TRO in a court case

I remember when to be eligible, you actually had to be enrolled in a school and attend a few classes (UNC accepted, of course).

Youth sports is not in a good place in this country.

There was so much discussion this summer about how we can make the path for young soccer players more affordable and more similar to the way we've developed such elite basketball talent. The sad truth is, basketball is going in the soccer direction instead. Pure financial exploitation at every step of the process, to the detriment of the kids.

Yes. And volleyball. And hockey. And...
