Saw chatter on Twitter that former Illini RB Daniel Dufrene has passed away.

His run against OSU in 2007 is one of my "I remember where I was" moments in college. Very sad.

Many people forget the non-fumble fumble at the end. Sucks to see kids dying so young. Based on former player reaction, he seemed like a good dude. RIP.

I have also seen via Twitter that Chuck Myles is involved as well? Hope that is not the case. Sad news.

Not "Big Gain" Dufrene!!!

He had a really good Junior year, including - as a few others noted - that huge run against Ohio St. 900+ yards from scrimmage.

His Senior year was a bit of a let down, but he had hard time getting carries behind Juice, LeShoure and Ford on a team that was 2nd in the Big 10 in rushing yards.

Still, one of my all-time favorite Illini.
