The PL caved to Arsenal's ridiculous request to have tomorrow's North London Derby postponed. They have 1 Covid case and a couple of injuries. Having players out because they are attending the Africa Cup of Nations should not have been considered. They also loaned out 2 senior players this week and Xhaka is unable to play due to a red card. So, the PL rewards them for squad mismanagement. What a farce.

I don't know how many covid cases they had but I know Everton and Leicester were supposed to play earlier this week and that match got postponed because of Leicester's issues with covid, injuries, and players at AFCON as well.

The problem is that they keep changing the rules. Leeds was forced to bring up several U-23 players to face Arsenal a couple of weeks ago. So they got to feast on a depleted team, but get a match postponed when they have 1 Covid case and a couple of injuries.

Right. And I think the 1:1 draw Everton had with Chelsea earlier this season was because Chelsea was playing with an undermanned side.

Everton, who by the way, are looking more and more like they may be fending off relegation at this point unless something changes and changes quickly.

Everton has sacked Rafa after only six months in charge. They lost yesterday at Carrow Road to bottom of the table Norwich 2:1. Everton have only won Premier League match since September 25, a 2:1 win over Arsenal on December 6.

No word yet on a permanent replacement though I'd have to imagine Duncan Ferguson will be caretaker manager as he was following the sacking of Marco Silva back in 2019.

Roberto Martinez reportedly being seen as front runner for Everton job with Wayne Rooney also being discussed as a possible replacement.

Duncan Ferguson is expected to be the caretaker manager for next Saturday's match at Aston Villa with the club using the international break the following weekend to determine an interim or permanent manager.

Spurs with the dramatic victory today. Trailing Leicester 2-1 in stoppage time, they scored the equalizer in the 95th minute and then the winner in the 97th minute. They broke the record for the latest a team has trailed in a Premier League match before going on to win.

Any Aston Villa fans? It was either between them or Birmingham City. I'm a relatively new supporter; been following the Villans since '15, but once they went down to the Championship only then did I really pay attention.

I don't think anyone on here is a Villa fan. I'm an Everton supporter and have been since after '14 World Cup with Tim Howard.

I know we've got supporters of Spurs and Arsenal on here as well.

Manchester United upset at Old Trafford by Championship side Middlesborough today on PKs 1:1 (7:8) in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

Still have the three minnows left in this round of the FA Cup with 6th division Kidderminster Harriers hosting West Ham (6:30 AM CT, Saturday), 4th division Hartlepool United at Crystal Palace (9:00 AM CT, Saturday), and 5th division Boreham Wood traveling to Championship side Bournemouth (12:30 PM CT, Sunday).

All FA Cup matches this weekend will air on ESPN+.

Marcelo Bielsa has been sacked by Leeds United. Former USMNT player and most recently RB Leipzig manager Jesse Marsch is seen as the frontrunner to be Bielsa's replacement at Elland Road.

Leeds had a rough week losing away to Liverpool 6:0 before losing at home to Spurs yesterday 0:4.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich handed over the "stewardship and care" of the club to its charitable foundation trust yesterday. Move comes in the wake of British Parliament calling for the Russian billionaire to hand over the club in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At this point Abramovich is not relinquishing ownership of the club and can still provide funds to the club, assuming he's not sanctioned by the UK government. He also reportedly had no intention of calling in his loans to the club. Abramovich has owned Chelsea since June 2003.

poor weekend for arsenal and manchester united. tottenham in the driver seat for champions league with the easier run-in to end the season.

injuries have definitely derailed the race for arsenal. let's be honest though, no one expected arsenal to be this close to top 4.

All I'm hoping is that Everton isn't still batting to avoid relegation when they go to the Emirates on the final match day as I REALLY don't want them having to get a result to stay up.

I'm hoping Spurs have Top 4 wrapped up before the rescheduled NLD that Arsenal ducked a couple of months ago.
