Good game. Crazy that Kante and Payet were France's best players today. A year ago nobody knew about them. This French attack would be scary with Benzema.

I'm rooting for Belgium. Lukaku golden boot!

Payet's goal was sick. Doubt any keeper would've stopped that shot.

Some nasty scenes between English and Russian supporters the last couple days.

Yep. These big tourneys bring out the lunatics in spades. England and Russia have two of the largest, if not the largest, contingents. They're more interested in getting drunk and causing mayhem than supporting their team. The security forces should jail these clowns, then boot 'em out of the country.

Have to point out the majority of English and Russian fans are good supporters.

Raheem Sterling was absolutely terrible today. He has speed and nothing else. I can't believe Hodgson played him the full 90.

Outside of his outstanding pace, Sterling has rarely impressed me. I was pretty surprised City spent massively to acquire him. Just to be clear, not surprised one iota that City spent a lot of dough (it's what they do).

England, lol! English press is going to have a field day.

england is filled with spurs players who finished the season very poorly so not that surprising.

also, what happened to lallana in the second half? he was everywhere in the first and just disappeared after halftime.

Ha, Spurs players were the least of their worries. Dier was great.

I'm hoping we get to see Vardy and Kane start a match together at some point. Also it would be interesting to see England without Rooney, but that probably won't happen.

That was a strategy employed by Liverpool a few times this past season. It never seemed to work out favorably and I never did understand the value.

Sounds about right for the English. Unfortunately, I'm in Kuwait for two weeks so I'll miss most of the "fun".

Must be something about the UK. In Scotland, they don't serve alcohol at the games. If they did, it would be mayhem in the stands.

Let's see..Dier scored England's only goal and Joe Hart botched the play that resulted in the equalizer. But, go ahead and show your Spurs hate like the typical uninformed Arsenal fan.

Yeah, the Spurs choked away 2nd place. Yesterday's news.

Am guessing Hodgson is starting a bunch of Spurs because, I don't know, maybe they're good? Need to separate your Spurs' bias from the nations' competition.

oh relax. it was just a fun jab at spurs. i know they earned their place on the national team. honestly, i'm a little nervous at how good pochettino has turned the spurs in the premier league.

dier's free-kick was sublime. not sure why he didn't keep taking them for england.

Also what was up with Harry Kane taking the corners. Who would ever think it's a good idea to have Harry Kane taking the corners while Raheem Sterling is in the center of the box?

Muller is old as dirt and Lamm and Schweinstager are declining, but Germany is utterly sick with talent.

should kane be taking those free kicks? spurs fans: who usually takes the free kicks for your club?

I don't ever remember Kane taking any corners. However, he has taken a few free kicks that were fairly straight on right outside the box. Normally, Eriksen or Lamela take the corners and longer free kicks from outside the box.

Wales up 1-0. Hodgson's going to pay if this holds.

Oh, and Ramsey's hair! Great look, lol.

What's up with Hart? There is no reason a goalie at this level should allow that one to go in, especially after getting both hands on it.
