Friday, Sept 29th, 2017: Nebraska at Illinois

Sucks, but that's what we get for being a Big Ten have-not. Maybe there will be enough Nebraska fans to make the attendance not quite so abysmal.

count me in, but I am not a high school football fan...so...

If I am JW, I am contacting local high schools and trying to entice them to switch their games to Saturday that week. Heck, send out our players to appear at their games on Saturday or something. Have them bring posters and sign at halftime of the high school games that do switch.

I'm indifferent on Friday night games, but no B1G team should be able to say "no" to it.

Schools like Illinois hace been raking in Big Ten football TV money for years without doing anything to really deserve it. Frankly, I'm kind of surprised that it took this long for the big-name programs to throw their weight around a little.

Not thrilled about taking a half day off of work for this but will probably end up doing it.

Nebraska traveled REALLY well for the 2015 game in CU. I'd be interested to see how a Friday Night game impacts that given the distance between eastern Nebraska and CU. They would probably just have to take Friday off. Most of the NU fans I talked to at last year's game said they got to CU on Friday and were leaving after the game anyways.

It's not my first choice, but we do get a prime time spot without other college competition. I do like that we've opened with Nebraska every year. It would be nice to make it the our traditional game much like end of the year games. If you start something like that and the games are compelling, it will grow into an event and boost attendance and ratings.
