If Ayo was/is serious about making those around him better....he's gotta pass out of those double teams better. He dribbled into almost every double team tonight and they are too good defensively to get around. Our spacing and screens were terrible...and we are not as good a passing team as I thought we'd be.

way too much dribbling on O and our passing is too predictable

It just changed over, but the logo/sponsor that was on the scores table... Did it look really similar to the logo for an adult website? Not that I would ever go on one.

Just fight and play hard until the end is all I want to see. Beat Duke and Mizzou and that would be an amazing start.

Gotta work for it, and we are getting outworked. I am not convinced they are necessarily meaningfully better than us but they are outworking the hell out of us right now.
They have better shooting guards and seem quicker. Their defense has given our guards few open shots

I feel like we knew that, though. We have some good and creative distributors, but this is an average passing team.

Yeah. But we wanted to be the best team in the country.
Illini have several new but talented players beyond the starters who have not played this level before. As I stated earlier, a season of B1G play has a way of honing those kinds to a new level of play. This is not a team that is devoid of talent or coaching....and they will be a different team come tourney time than what you saw in the last 10 minutes tonight.

The Baylor defense is something that these guys will might never see again. The way they switch off the screens so fluidly is impressive. That’s why there are barely any open looks on the perimeter.

sounds easier than it will be. Mizzou beat Oregon tonight (and this team last year). And Duke is Duke.
