Wisconsin girl, 7, with inoperable brain tumor wants to receive letters from your dog

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTVO) - A 7-year-old girl from Milwaukee who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor wants to receive letters from dogs.

Emma Mertens has received more than 50,000 letters so far, according to "Good Morning America."

"If you knew Emma, she's the most kind, big-hearted girl," Emma's father, Geoff Mertens told "Good Morning America." "To see so many people take a few minutes out of their day to put a smile on her face is overwhelming."

If you'd like to send Emma a letter from your dog, write to:

P.O. Box 230

Emma has a GoFundMe account if anyone would like to donate to help her family with medical bills.

I forgot about this post until a few minutes ago. Emma passed away last November. Apparently it was photos of dogs not letters from dogs. That makes more sense.
