I say very surprising, he was winning, it's the SEC West none the less. Pitino hires escorts for recruits, he was only hiring for himself. What is the SEC coming to, it should take way more than that to get fired! ;)

I highly doubt Hugh Freeze was doing anything different , recruiting wise, than any other SEC school , and for that matter, any other Power 5 conference school. Corners are cut EVERYWHERE. Some schools will only cut a few some will cut the them all but no one is without sin in that business.

As for the escorts/hookers ? someone or some people at OleMiss obviously wanted him out, for whatever reason(s) and found a way to fire him with cause.

My guess is Les Miles or Chip Kelly gets hired next

Houston Nutt's lawyer requested the call logs because Houston Nutt is in litigation against the school over his firing.

Maybe he wasn't doing anything different but getting hit with a lack of institutional control charge and forcing the school to self impose a bowl ban is not a good look.

and someone on the inside who has an ax to grind with Freeze leaked the info about his nasty habit with Nutt's lawyer. There is way more to this than Nutt's lawyer getting lucky.
