Redshirting for top 150 recruits is essentially dead.

I’d wager the percentage of 5 year players at a single college is <1%.

Can someone link to what actually happened with Skyy (beyond just his own and BU's public statements)? I was gone all weekend, trying to play catch up in the locked/cleaned up thread but it seems like whatever discussion went on in prior thread(s) all got deleted and I'm not seeing anything else with regard to what's believed to have gone down. Kind of a weird thread to sift through as it's basically a lot of "we're just not really gonna talk about it."

Any assist is appreciated, thanks.

Board goes nuts, 90% doom and gloom given recent games
Then it is announced that SC will actually take a leave of absence
Board reacts with a mix of sympathy and skepticism
Team issues a note of support to SC
Board posters from each side begin turning on one another, some more level-headed suggest a cleansing

This was legit extremely concise & helpful, thank you.

So I take it most have landed on expecting that he's ultimately gone, just not formally, quite yet, for whatever reason? Or were any of our insiders offering any reason for optimism that this could indeed wind up a legit leave of absence wherein he in fact returns at some point a month from now or a year from now or whatever the case might be?
