Those guys are absolutely hilarious. I barely care that they talk about college basketball now. Their banter is what I'm there for. Top shelf off the cuff humor in my opinion.
It's like listening in on friends at a bar who are talking about whatever game is on. Are they as knowledgable as "experts"? Absolutely not. But they're a lot more fun and relatable in my opinion. Plus, I think a lot of their criticism is very fair. They have their favorites, but they're not afraid to point out what they think the weak points are, which is refreshing when so many people seem to exist just to gas up their/the highest ranked teams.

Kylan, I'm giving a pass to. I think he was going at it at 50-75% effort (not necessarily comforting to fans but it was an exhibition). His turnovers mainly were the, I expected my teammate to be there variety. Offense otherwise looked good, and he slashes to the rim well. His defense was uhhhhh passive, yeah, let's go with that, but his profile and advanced stats suggest that when he's actually trying to defend he's average. So, I'm not worried about him yet, but yeah obviously he'll be stapled to the bench if not the roof of the stadium if he shows up for actual games like that. Just don't think that was his priority in this one.
Thanks from me also for the insightful analysis. Agree with all except the pass for Kylan.

It's an exhibition, so I don't expect players to throw themselves into the third row chasing a ball, but I do expect more than 50-75% effort and 'passive' defense.

Maybe I'm still sensitive from the Skyy days (editor's note: poster is in fact still sensitive from the Skyy days) but that effort spoke to me of entitlement and not needing to try because he was a starter no matter what. Glad to be proven wrong later when the games count.

Their big draft episode where they had on a ton of players and coaches was great. Goode and Coleman were highlights. Hope they can manage more of that as they grow.

I love their podcast, too! I'm just not always looking for an in-depth Xs and Os breakdown. Sometimes I want to hear a less in-depth take just for fun. The beautiful thing is, there's room for both kinds of takes to exist. The existence of one doesn't have to threaten the other.

Agreed. LaTulip really breaks it down and gives the reasons behind the quality of play or lack thereof. Sleepers is purely entertainment. Been saying this since before last year. I watch both.

The info is great, I just wish it weren't nearly an hour long. I guess my attention span is dwindling.
They break their podcasts down into more team-specific clips on YouTube if you don't want to hear them talk about everything else going on in college basketball

Can somebody on here who has a great memory put a list together of the IL players that transferred out the past few years and what schools they ended up on? I'm starting to lose track and want to follow them this coming season.
Definitely not from memory, which wasn't so hot even before I took on Pru as a mentor. I believe there are 15 former Illini on other NCAA rosters this year.
