I have been trying to figure out what the students chant in the spoken lyrics of one of our fight type songs for years at the basketball games. And I just can't make it out and it has been tearing me and my friends up trying to get it figured out. Hopefully, someone one here will help?
It is the song we typically play in the second half at the under 16 min time out. Right after the cheerleaders run the flag around the isles between the sections of seats and over the floor. I have been told the song is called "Runaway Baby"...but I am not sure if that is true?
Anyway, its is mostly the band playing music. But the music stops several times (3 or 4 times) and the students chant something (a small phrase) at each of the stops. The first stop chant the students say "Go Illini". The second stop chant is what I cannot figure out. Would someone please tell me?
If you know the other stops chants and would share that would be awesome too. But darn that second one. Please help.
