Bielema's quotes about needing to be very cautious with foot injuries makes me lean towards not seeing Bailey against Toledo.
it could be a couple weeks more than just the first game

Interesting. And not the best of news since he was somewhat of a known in a secondary that lacks extensive experience.
I have no inside info , just many years of hearing news like this and realizing that there are no real pressing reasons for him to come back before he is 100% ready .

maybe he’s ready by week 2, but I would simply say there is a decent chance he’s not . not a lot of pressing need to risk him coming back “early”

Will the Toledo team be much better than the Wyoming team?
Yes. It's a G5 Champion with the 7th most returning production in the nation. Most of Toledos losses were from injured QB play in 2022. If Finn was healthy Toledo only loses to Ohio State and Buffalo last year. 6 turnovers up 3 TDs led to that downfall...Top 25D in the country with a bad SOS for what it's worth. The backend of the D has an AA and 3 likely draft picks.

Below is the view from the horseshoe, using https://www.seats3d.com/ncaa/university_illinois/football/#/

It appears the balcony overhangs the seats to about 8 rows below the floor of upper tunnels, which should appear on the seat maps. Sunlight will reach further up, depending on the time of day. The bottom edge of the tunnels could be a sweet spot with afternoon sun, no obstruction from posts, and shelter from rain. If this rendering is accurate the posts are at the base of the tunnels, obstructing views from some of the higher seats.

@Fighter of the Nightman, on the ticket website, when selecting your seats, there is a line that bisects rows 41 and 42. I don’t know for sure, but I always assumed that’s where the overhang is.

DT: Jer'Zhan Newton, Illinois

Anybody sleeping on Illinois' defense or Newton is not paying attention. Newton has gone from a three-star recruit in high school to one of college football's best interior defensive linemen. The 6-2, 295-pound Newton passed up the NFL to return for his fourth season, and Illinois' D should again be salty after leading the country a year ago in scoring defense (12.8 points per game). Not only is Newton a menace inside, but fellow defensive lineman Keith Randolph is also a future pro. The "Law Firm," as coach Bret Bielema calls them, combined for 27 tackles for loss last season.

What do people think about the four game limit for redshirting. How do you play that with a guy like Feagin?

Play him early to see what he's got? Play him once, see what he's up against, and hold off for a different time? Hold him back in case of injury?

Looking backward has there been a general approach to this?
