We got a couple Illini back in action, sorry that the results aren't better. D.A. opened with a +3 and is going to need to go pretty low to make the cut. problem with DA right now is that he just doesn't make enough birdies. He can scramble and stay around par on difficult tracks but when others go low he has to be flawless to make the cut. The other news, and this one is disappointing because I root for this guy, is that Dylan Meyer through 3 rounds is not in contention at LocaliQ series championship. Winner of this tournament and the top two point winners of the season get sponsor exempts into a PGA Tournament. Meyer shot a 76 to start and is stuck trying to recover and tied for 39. All of these 3rd tier tours are basically shots in the dark and you have to win big to graduate up from them. I'm hoping his fighting spirit keeps him pressing on. Very talented player.
