The 2016 season kicked off last weekend and included the Illini's upset of #10 FSU.
For the first time in 17 years the Illini have a new Head Coach leading them.

A few changes will be in store for fans attending the games. The old scoreboard was taken down on Sunday and a new one similar to Baseballs will go up in the next few days.
Plans are for a new padded outfield wall to be installed soon. New graphics were put on top of the dugouts and the old logo's inside the dugouts have been removed and new ones added soon.

Softball opens their weekend in North Carolina with a 9-1 win over Boston College.

Another win today for the Illini 5-1 over Boston College. Back to back games with outstanding pitching.

2nd win of the day for the Illini, a 4-1 win over North Carolina. Three straight games the pitching staff have only given up one run each game. That was a huge concern coming into this year, but so far Jade and Bri have done an outstanding job. Hope they can keep it up.

Illinois Softball just took 2 of 3 over #24 Nebraska. They are 21-10 on the season.

Fighting Illini Softball made the Dance, going to the Lexington Ky. Regional next weekend. Who thought this would happen back in January.

The Illini can mash the ball. Pitching has been better than expected. If any of the incoming recruits is an impact pitcher, this team can be top 4 in the Big Ten next season.

Does anyone find it weird that Hailey is still on the team? It's a conflict of interest in the athletic department.

The softball team has a lot of questions to answer regarding its players. Lots of issues: destruction of religious property, false accusations of abuse, hurting themselves and filing a false report to see if anyone cared...
