Does anyone know what Ndour's injury is? We will need her when we play big centers.

We are blowing out another power 5 conference team while hitting 14 threes and counting. I'm excited for conference play to start this weekend. The 5th-ranked Hoosiers are gong to be a serious test. They beat us by 32 last year. I don't see this team losing to anyone by that much. Let's see just how much progress we've made.

Last year the WBB team won 7 games all season. This year they have won 7 and we are less than a month into the season. They beat Pitt tonight shooting 61% from three making 14 threes and winning 92-71. It wasn't that close, but PITT hit some late three's as well. Pitt is not that good, but still............
I am thinking the Shauna Greene hire was a pretty good move.

Exciting guard play that keeps the pressure on. How did they lose that last game?
Very physical guards on the other team. They had a couple of bigs that played very well and we had some foul trouble. Plus just didnt get the breaks on key calls, happens sometimes away from home. Put all of that together and 3 point loss to a good team.

Caught the second half. My oh my!!! I have got to get the schedule for these gals! I was truly amazed! They looked great!
It should be Fighting "nothing but the bottom of the net" ILLINI!

Dan, is it doable to put the women's schedule on the right hand side of the main page? Need to get more visibility for the women's team.

Indiana is a terrific team but they aren't invincible. They depend on skill more than brute strength. They aren't a deep team and 5 players get the bulk of the minutes. Run, run, run.

Thanks. It’s the only game I missed and surprised by the results. Statistically, it looks like we should have won but for what you described above is good context.

I really like watching this team attack and coach’s demeanor the whole time.

Hopefully the Orange Crush starts to grow in strength when we are ranked next week after beating Indiana 72-65.
I mean there are like 300% more than the last few years, but we need to replicate the same noise level as when the middle school kids were there every game.

And all 7 wins were against quadrant 4 teams last year. This year the wins against Charlotte and Pitt are currently quadrant 2 wins.

This team will be ranked going into 23. Clearly the system works, and the transfer portal next year will deliver. Illinois basketball is back in both fronts..
Hopefully next year will be a rare in the past, but common place in the future, football and both basketball teams are ranked at the same time.
