I know it's too early to give Kenpom much weight, but he has this as a close game --Marquette should be favored by about 1.5, which is where it looks like the early line will be.

Given that poll, we have three top 10 teams coming up between now and December 10th. :oops: And, given their schedules between now and when we play each of them, I think each could be ranked even higher when we match up.

vs. #4 Marquette (will definitely be #4)

vs. #10 FAU (MSG in New York, NY)
vs. Eastern Michigan
vs. Bryant
vs. Butler (Bay Lake, FL)
vs. #13 Texas A&M or Penn State (Bay Lake, FL)
vs. TBD (Bay Lake, FL)
vs. Liberty
vs. Charleston

at #7 Tennessee
vs. Wofford
vs. Syracuse (Maui)
vs. #2 Purdue or #11 Gonzaga (Maui)
vs. TBD (Maui)
at #20 North Carolina
vs. George Mason

It is not unlikely at all that FAU is undefeated and ranked even higher when we play them on December 5th in New York City. Tennessee has a much, much tougher schedule, but they could easily hold steady around #7 if they, say, lost to Purdue but won at #20 North Carolina or something. If they win all of those games, they very well could be ranked #1 with some luck!

Here's to hoping we hold up our end of the bargain and make those games vs. FAU and Tennessee top 10 matchups. :cool:

If Tennessee wins Maui they will likely have beaten #2 Purdue/#11 Gonzaga and #1 Kansas. I'd say they more likely than not would be #1 at that point. Not that I trust the voters to get it right but still.
