Georgia Tech beating Georgia would’ve kept the absurd cascade alive. Alas, the football Gods wanted the Bulldogs in the CFP. I think the cascade is dead now, or at the very least, on life support.

✅ Memphis over Tulane
❌ Oklahoma State over Colorado
❌ Oregon State over Boise State
❌ Mississippi State over Ole Miss
❌ Georgia Tech over Georgia
Texas over Texas A&M
Texas San Antonio over Army (or Navy over Army the following week)
Nevada over UNLV
Houston over BYU
Arizona over Arizona State
Kansas State over Iowa State
Auburn over Bama
Cal over SMU
Vandy over Tennessee
Syracuse over Miami
USC over Notre Dame
Purdue over Indiana
South Carolina vs Clemson? -- Probably South Carolina

LOL. These guys same daily "half of SEC is better than Indiana and Penn State" talk over and over.

Now taking shots at us .....

Have zero clue what we have anything to do with their constant... SEC is the best, Big 10 is the worst, Penn State is utterly the biggest disaster for losing by 7 to OSU.....

Just a team that has managed to have a top 25 season at 9-3... not even taking ur playoff spots for goodness sake.

in the big ten*
And I think there's an argument to be ranked higher. B10 guys brought it up (although I do recognize the potential for bias).

Stack up our quality of Ls against anyone. The obvious head-scratcher is UNLV imo. Now, some of those teams will be below us on Tuesday - TAMU after they lose to Texas, Tulane lost yesterday, you still got championship saturday (UNLV and a B12 team possibly).

I think the weakness is lack of convincing wins. All of them are in such heroic fashion. But ay man, they were calling for BYU to be ranked in the top 5 for the refs just giving them the Utah game. A win is a win and the teams you lost to - boy...

Yup, at some point losses do matter otherwise what is the point of playing the games? The CFP shouldn't be about having the 12 teams with the most talent on them, it should go to the 12 teams who performed the best over the season. And winning games is a big part of that. Georgia beating Georgia Tech at home by 2 in 8OT equals CFP defining gigantic win, but PSU beating an Illinois team with a better record at home by 14 equals easy laughable win? Come on.
